On February 6, 2020, the first seminar for agricultural producers of ATU Gagauzia was held within the
framework of the MoldHVAA_FAA_20025 grant entitled: "Farmer's Winter School", organized by the Association
of Agricultural Producers of Gagauzia "AGRO OGUZ" with the support of the USAID / APM Project
"Effective Agriculture in Moldova". Seminar topic: "Winter operations for table grapes to increase yields
and quality." The seminar was opened with a welcoming speech: Andrey Dimitroglo - Head of the Main Directorate
of the Agroindustrial Complex of ATU Gagauzia, Denis Berezyan - Executive Director of the Association of
Agricultural Producers of Gagauzia “AGRO OGUZ”, Doncheva Tatiana - RBISC project manager and Roman Palanchuk -
USAID / APM project representative.
Liahu Viorel, USAID / APM Representative, made a presentation on the latest trends in table grape export markets
and the internal situation in the sector. The invited expert in the field of viticulture was Sergey Tutovan,
director of the Association of Table Grape Producers of the Cahul District. Attention was paid to the protection
of the vineyards from diseases, the correct application of fertilizers and the formation of the grape bush.
At the end of the theoretical part, information was offered on the implementation of plant protection products,
tools and equipment. The seminar was attended by agricultural producers of table grapes, as well as students of
the agricultural college of the village of Svetly.
